Avoid Ebay Scam's

Ebay is a fantastic place to buy and sell various items, but unfortunately there is some individuals that simply want to RIP YOU OFF. I have put together some useful tips that I have learnt over the years, so you can avoid being a victim of Ebay SCAMS.

If you’re a buyer or seller, don’t use Western Union or money gram as a payment method, its been proven in the past that its very unsafe. I prefer to use paypal for all of my online transactions. Even though PAYPAL has some small transaction fee's it's worth it.

Also when selling make sure that the money is in your paypal account before shipping any item. You may get some scammer who have away with words who will try and convince you that they will pay once they receive the item, they will even offer you hundreds of dollars more, then what your item is worth. DON’T DO IT....

Remember, that if it sounds to good to be true... its surly a scam...

Now this one I get a lot of; SPOOF emails. Spoof emails are fake emails, they look like they have been sent from ebay. They usually ask for your personal information, Ebay user name and password....NEVER login to your ebay account through a link in an email. Always open your web browser and type in the url, then login to your ebay account.

Yeah and another one, someone offering you a second chance offer, On a item you have recently bidded on, One way to check if it's legitimate, login into you ebay account, go to your inbox and check if there's a message titled "second chance offer" then you can contact ebay to confirm its for real...

Now if your buying a item on ebay I always check out the sellers feedback, I only usually buy from sellers that have well over 100 feedback score I also read there feedback comments so I can make a decision if I feel the seller is trust worthy. But this is still no guarantee, so its up to you to make a decision based on the sellers feedback comments....
